A Christmas Recap – Chickamauga Santa Photos 2022

Y’all, this was a big one! Year THREE of the O.G. Elle Bea Photography mini session, the one that started it all… it’s Santa Minis!!!! Santa came back to North Georgia for a third year of taking memorable photos, for the second time in our beautiful set at Red Barn Designs in Chickamauga! See the 2021 recap of this event right here!

Santa and I had a TON of fun and hopefully made some little days in the process!!! The ladies of Red Barn absolutely outdid themselves on the set this year, and the window light was unbeatable. I’m not sure our visitors really cared a whole lot about that, but I sure did! Keep reading, LOTS of Santa photos to come!!

Mostly smiles! And a few tears…

It was once again a joy to meet so many little visitors of many varying ages, stages, and temperaments… Whatever it says about me, sifting through Santa photos is one of my favorite tasks of the entire year. You never quite know what you’re gonna get, and yet there are some Santa reactions I can pretty much bet the farm on. For example, something like this…

Here’s how it goes. Sweet little unsuspecting child walks in, and sees Santa! Big smile on the way in, big smile looking at Santa, and then… things change. First, the realization that a) he’s not a statue, b) I’m about to be asked to go to him, possibly even sit in his lap, and c) my parents expect me to do it without them. Um. Hold up, guys.

My only hope is that all of these years worth of kids don’t hold it against me, or at least not forever. I could swear some of the “reactors” shall we say, see me in town later and cut their eyes around. I mean I get it. And I am sorry! But not that sorry I guess, because I go home and go through the pictures, and laugh my head off. Again, whatever it says about me… it’s really really a good time.

Santa mini sessions have been SO much fun these last three Christmases, and so special to be part of!! A huge, huge thank you to Santa for making a trip down to be with us again – this is a busy time of year for this guy and he ROCKED it once again!!

And another huge thank you to our hosts – Red Barn Designs!! Their beautiful sets have been THE BEST Santa setup for two years in a row, these ladies really do know design!! If you have Christmas shopping left to do, I absolutely recommend stopping by!! And while you’re there, take a stroll down the block in Chickamauga. It’s a great place to shop, eat, and see some small-town Christmas decorations!

Thank you also to the parents who signed your kiddos up for this fun!! It is such a special thing to me to get to share this with you and your kids, I do not take the privilege for granted! And finally thank you to each and every little Santa visitor. So many of you had such big smiles, I hope you loved your Santa time!! And to those of you who did not have big smiles… please forgive me!! And if I can make a case for myself – your parents literally paid me to do it 😉

I hope you have the best Christmas, full of love and laughs and fun, and most of all I hope you never stop believing in things that are bigger and more incredible than you could ever understand. That is what Christmas will always be about.
