Carlton Family 2022 | Christmas Photos at the Chattanooga Choo Choo

Pardon me boy… it’s THE Chattanooga Choo Choo!! The sweet Carlton family met me at this local icon for their 2022 Christmas family session, and this Chattanoogan AND Christmas lover was obsessed!! Let’s just say, we had our fare, and just a trifle to spare (google the song, you won’t regret it – or ever forget it). Nothing could be finer

So we changed gears, started looking for indoor options, and very quickly landed on the iconic Choo Choo area in downtown Chattanooga. Since this location always has a LOT going on at Christmas, I made a quick call to ask for photo permission – and it was an easy yes! The folks at the Choo Choo could not have been easier to work with.

Before we move on, yes… that is a gif of the classic Chattanooga Choo Choo song and dance. You’re welcome. This place is famous, y’all! And, it’s beautiful. Especially at Christmas!! I have been lucky to have taken photos on the Choo Choo property many times over the years (of various types including prom, seniors, and even wedding portraits!). But this was my first Choo Choo holiday session!

If you want Christmas, you’ll find it here. And for indoor or semi-indoor photos, it’s a great choice! The atrium is lined with windows (and filled with Christmas lights), there is a covered breezeway just outside (with that giant Chattanooga lights sign!), and the train even has a covered walkway along one side too! Plus, the Carltons are relatively new to Chattanooga, so perfect candidates for photos at THE icon. Sarah assured me they wanted SUPER Christmasy, so we went for it – and BOY did this place fill that request!!!
