Elle Bea Photography Presents – Chickamauga Family Mini Sessions at Mountain Cove Farms!

Y’all, this was round two for this session at this location and I was SO thrilled to do it again!! Same location, same time of year, same time of day, why not. Back by popular demand – Chickamauga Family Mini Sessions at Mountain Cove Farms! It’s not hard to see why this location was highly requested. This venue located in Chickamauga, Georgia is beautiful even on the drive in!! Keep reading to see the mountains, views, snuggles, and smiles!

The weather was awesome for these minis! It’s always a relief when the week of the session I don’t have to keep watch on the weather app and SOS text my weather man (read about him in this post!). The prediction was solid cloud cover, which made these sessions different from last year when it was very sunny! Lucky for me, this venue is amazing from literally every angle. Sun, no sun, no problem. We had a variety of cloud to sun ratio by the end!!

We had some little visitors, as usual, and man do I love some mountain babies!!! Check out that cuddly family, and those sweet little twins… it’s hard to top backgrounds like that!! Maybe I’m biased (I am, I know I am) but you just can’t beat the views around here. Chattanooga and North Georgia, you have my heart forever.

Family love at family minis!

I try not to repeat myself but this bit is worth it! Like I said after Fall Farm Minis, I have the immense privilege of shooting a range of “people-photography” (see some examples!). However, all of it is centered around family – so getting to focus exclusively on these sweet, sweet families and capture both some right-now memories and their unending love for each other blessed my heart like I can’t even say!!!

Look at that LOVE, above and below!!! That is truly what it’s all about. The sweet family above let me in on their FIRST family photos… how lucky am I??? And again with the mountain babies, two more below. I’m telling you, it just doesn’t get much better.

Mountain backdrops, from every angle

Let’s talk a little more about this location. To summarize, it’s amazing. Mountain Cove Farms is a wedding and event venue with a big beautiful white barn (pictured in the header and again below!) and incredible outdoor photo spots!! That’s what’s brought us back here two years in a row. I could not wait to get back to The Cove and welcome some new families to one of my favorite places!!

Huge, huge thank you and shout out to the venue manager at Mountain Cove, Jenna!! She is one of my favorite people ever to work with and I am super lucky to get to do that multiple times a year these days!! Thank you so much for having us again Jenna and the Mountain Cove crew, and I already can’t wait to bring SANTA to see you ladies at Red Barn in a few short weeks!!

You get it by now, I love this area and this venue!!! But really, who wouldn’t?? You can literally stand and turn in a circle, and take an awesome mountain views photo from basically anywhere. Even right in front of the barn. Even with a multigenerational 12 person group which was amazing.

Get 12 people of all ages in a straight line, win. Sun-kissed mountains in the background, win. Capture them all laughing together, win. All I do is win… and it’s entirely because of the amazing families and incredible locations I am lucky enough to work with!! Random song lyrics included in sessions and blog posts, free of charge 😉

A little life’s photo-timeline!

It was SO special to me to get some whole families in on photos with their kiddos who had visited me before during kids sessions!! All four kids pictured above also participated in Pool Party Minis in Rossville earlier this year which were a BLAST!! There are other pool party kiddos in this post too! Can you find them all?

And the sweet little guy below came to see Santa with me back in 2020, with his little sister (see the header image again!) who I did not even recognize because she was a BABY back then!! It’s such a joy to see these sweet kids over and over, I absolutely LOVE getting to see them grow up in pictures!! It is so, so special to me, truly, and I appreciate all of sweet these families so much!! Best job ever.

Location, location, location

I have previously discussed my attachment to trees during sessions, and while I did have my tree again (framing the barn a few photos down, and partially pictured many times from many angles!) this place has no shortage of great ones!! Plus the perfectly vintage-looking fencing above, the barn doors I’ve gotten very attached to (see if you can find them on the galleries page!), that awesome barn, and did I mention the mountains yet…

We just couldn’t escape great locations here! And if I had to guess, I’d say there’s a good chance we’ll be back in the future! Join the email list and picture yourself here in 2023!!

Huge, huge thank you to each of the wonderful families who participated in this year’s Family Mini Sessions at Mountain Cove!!! It was truly such a pleasure to spend time with each one of you, and to meet some family members for the first time too! I am so, so grateful to get to be part of documenting and treasuring these moments with your loved ones – thank you for trusting me with your memories!!
