A magical recap – Chattanooga Baking with Santa 2022
You guys – we did it again! Sing it with me, it’s the most… magical minis… of the year… Round two of our most talked about mini session ever was another HUGE success, SO many little smiles, so much Christmas fun, and so. many. cookies. Chattanooga Baking with Santa 2022 was a Christmas HIT!!
In the interest of getting right to the magical photos, here’s the summary – it was amazing… again! We had a total of 37 little visitors (whoa…) ranging in age from ONE month old to 14 years old!! That big ol’ group of bakers included two tiny babies (don’t miss the 6 month old, one of the best baby Santa visits EVER!!), a dozen sibling duos and trios, two sets of cousins, and so much cuteness.
Baking with Santa 2022 featured bakers from Knoxville, Atlanta, and Milner, Georgia, plus all over Chattanooga and North Georgia! Santa and I had the ENORMOUS pleasure of seeing and capturing lots and lots of smiles, some really great giggles, plus a fair amount of eye-cutting – gotta love those very nimble toddler eyeballs. Don’t worry, Santa and I have done this together A LOT, we do not take it personally. In fact, I really love it...
ALL the cookies…
In total over the course of the weekend, we baked at least 200 cookies! That’s not a joke, I did the math, it was probably close to 250. That’s a lot of cookies. Each baker baked and ate cookies with Santa, then took home cookies for later, because why not. We did have some extra in the end, after all this was a baking event primarily. The remaining cookies were donated to the Walker County Fire Department, because those guys need (and deserve!) several dozen cookies way more than I do.
We also got to incorporate some new cookie dough this year! Our visitors with food allergies (we had 3 sets!) baked, ate, and took home Sweet Loren’s chocolate chunk cookie dough! I was introduced to this brand by a friend with gluten sensitivity and discovered, to my delight, they are also nut, dairy, and egg free!!
And even more delightful, they are really, really good. If you, like me, hesitate when you see “gluten free” and “dessert” in the same sentence (I blame an experience with a gluten free vegan cupcake in 2014), take my word for it here – these are legit good cookies. And not just good for gluten free, all of our visitors really enjoyed them!
Speaking from experience, food based activities can be so stressful for allergy kiddos (perhaps more so for their parents) so I was thrilled to have this option to add in! Being able to give every single visitor the same magical experience was priceless to me. Huge thank you to Sweet Loren’s for giving us a super easy way to make that happen! For those interested, I bought all of our cookie dough at local Food City stores!
See the magic!! Baking with Santa Chattanooga
Ok ENOUGH with the chit chat. It’s time… no more recap, no more talking, you’ve got to see this for yourself. Here it comes. Ladies and gentlemen, the highlight reel – Baking with Santa Chattanooga 2022!!
Many, many thanks!!
This session was SO much fun and so special to be part of!! Huge, huge thank you to Santa for making a trip down to bake with us – this is a busy time of year for this guy and he ROCKED this afternoon full of smiles and cookies!! Another huge thanks to our hosts for having us for two years in a row now, it is a perfect setting!
Thank you also to the parents who signed your kiddos up for this fun!! It’s no small feat getting littles ready for this kind of a thing, some days more so than others. And finally thank you to each and every little baker. You guys make the magic happen, Santa and I can make a pretty nice picture, but it’s only magical because of the little visitors we have the privilege of spending the afternoon with. Thank you for letting us in on this Christmas fun!
From Santa and me to each of our 2022 bakers – thank you. I hope your Christmas dreams came true for a few minutes on a Sunday in November, I hope you have the best Christmas morning full of more love and laughs and maybe even cookies, and most of all I hope you never stop believing in things that are bigger and more incredible than you could ever understand. That is what Christmas will always be about.
“Fear not… for unto you is born this day in the city of David a savior, which is Christ the Lord.”
And from Elle Bea Photography to all of you, a great big… Merry Christmas!!
